acoustic modules made of Basotect acoustic material

The background noise level was optimized in a total of five classrooms and the cafeteria of a pre-war building.

For our customer Bingen Elementary School, we first optimized the spatial acoustics in a classroom in which a pupil with a hearing disability had problems concentrating and in the cafeteria, where the noise level was exhausting. In both cases, the custom acoustic solution consisted of our da baffle Basotect®, which we mounted in an aluminum construction very close to the ceiling to absorb the echo and significantly optimize the acoustics.

The ceiling material posed the greatest challenge: it was plastered with clay and straw and could not hold heavy suspensions. Thanks to the low weight of our acoustic elements and their substructure, and with the help of extremely long hanger bolts, the solution was easy to install. Impressed by the positive effect of the acoustic ceiling, the teachers only wanted to use the optimized classroom. As a result, we received a follow-up order and now five classrooms in addition to the cafeteria at Bingen Elementary School have our custom acoustic ceilings.
