In the registry of Ravensburg City Hall, we installed a unique, star-shaped acoustic ceiling that created a special frame for that special day in the wedding hall.
Many aspects of the fan-shaped installation made from white baffle Basotect® are special. Baffles of varying lengths were mounted at different heights without a substructure and balanced with extra care.
Some elements measuring up to 6500 mm in length were used for the installation, which was adapted to the frame structure of the pre-war windows. The way the construction was suspended from the straight ceiling created a dome effect. With around one thousand suspension points, a unique fusion of function and design resulted. It provides a special frame for special moments and the challenging installation process was well worth the effort – both visually and acoustically.
