acoustics optimized by acoustic modules

As part of the Späh Helps project, we donated a suitable acoustic ceiling to the classroom of a boy with a hearing disability. As a result, he was able to join his kindergarten friends in elementary school.

Scheer Elementary School has very high ceilings that cause a strong echo. For the little boy who must wear a hearing aid, it would have been too loud to hear what was said during lessons.

The solution: An acoustic ceiling made of 167 baffle Basotect® that we installed in the classroom as part of our Späh Helps project and donated to the school. Together with a microphone system that transmits what the teacher says directly to the boy's hearing aid, the ceiling created the acoustic conditions that enabled the boy to attend his local elementary school. His fellow pupils and future cohorts will also benefit from the long-term improvement in the classroom's acoustics.

"The difference is enormous. The acoustic improvement also benefits the other pupils because the work atmosphere is much pleasanter." Frau Genter, Scheer Elementary School principal

"As the school board, integrating a hearing disabled child into our local elementary school was a major problem for us. After we had the module from SPÄH installed, the pupil was immediately able to participate in the lessons." Jürgen Wild, mayor of the city of Scheer
